I completed my BA (2017) and MA (2019) in History at Jagiellonian University in Krakow. My master’s thesis examined the changes in perception of lady Jane Grey in British literature, historiography and art from 16th to 19th century. The analysis of the data provided information about the origins of the legend of Jane Grey and its later modifications. My research interests are related to British social history, the way these problems are presented in the press and the origins of myths and legend surrounding ambiguous historical figures. My PhD thesis focuses on the problem of infanticide in the nineteenth century England and its reflection in the press. I also try to compere trial records with the press articles to present which issues were most interesting to the English society.
